Text:Ecce quam
Author:W. W.

79a. Ecce quam

1 O what a happy thing it is,
and joyfull for to see
Brethren together fast to hold
the band of amity!
2 It cals to mind that sweet perfume,
and that costly ointment,
Which on the Sacrificers head
by Gods precept was spent.

It was not Aarons head alone,
but drencht his beard throughout:
And finally it did run down
his rich attire about.
3 And as the lower ground doth drink
the dew of Hermons hill:
And Sion with his silver drops
the fields with fruit doth fill.

4 Even so the Lord doth powre on them
his blessings manifold:
Whose hearts and minds without al guile
this knot do keep and hold.
