In the passages quoted in the assurance of pardon, the apostle Paul quotes from both Pss. 14 and 32 in order to teach concerning justification and redemption in Christ Jesus. The hymn stanza provided may be sung either to the tune BEACH SPRING or NETTLETON. Alternately, the entire hymn “Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing” or another hymn of praise may be sung as a response to the assurance of pardon.
