1 When days are dark and the waves roll high,
When our souls are filled with fear;
Then God comes down on the bending sky,
Bringing comfort, hope and cheer.

His love and grace I can ne'er deny,
There's a robe and crown to win;
Since God came down on the bending sky,
To redeem my soul from sin.

2 When sorrows come He doth hear my cry
If I look to Him in prayer,
Then god comes down on the bending sky,
Ev'ry sorrow He doth share. [Refrain]

3 In danger's hour He is ever nigh
To deliver and defend,
For God comes down on the bending sky,
To uphold me to the end. [Refrain]
