1 Lord God, our Father, Thou our chiefest stay,
Thou art our souls' delight for aye!
O hearken to our humble prayer:
Forgive our sins and us in mercy spare!
Have mercy on us, O Lord!

2 Lord Jesus Christ, God's Son, true light and way,
Shepherd of souls, to Thee we pray:
Thou wast for our salvation slain
Let not Thy death and sufferings be in vain!
