d93. I can't feel at home any more

1. This world is not my home, I'm just passing by,
My treasures and my hopes are all laid up on high
Where many friends and kindreds are gone on before,
I can't feel at home any more.

Chorus:
O Lord, you know that I have no friend like you!
If heaven's not my home, Lord what shall I do?
Loved ones beckon me from heaven's welcome door
And I can't feel at home in this world any more.

2. Over in Beulah land there is no dying there,
The saints are shouting victory, singing every where,
I hear voices of them whom I have known before,
And I can't feel at home in this world any more.

3. Heaven's expecting me, and that's one thing I know;
I fixed it up with Jesus a long time ago;
I know He'll take me in, tho' I am weak and poor,
And I can't feel at home in this world any more.

4. I won't have long to wait, for my work's almost done,
I am happy because my race is nearly run,
I've long had eyes upon Heaven's opened door.
And I can't feel at home in this world any more.

5. O should you get there first, I'll be on just the same,
You shall hear me when I cry, Holy name!
I'll fly away with you, when my Jesus I adore,
For I don't feel at home in this world any more.
