109. Thou shalt be Saved

1 Behold how plain the truth is made;
Since Christ the ransom price has paid,
And all our sins on Him were laid,
We must in Him be saved.

Refrain:
If thou shalt confess with thy mouth,
Confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
And believe in thine heart
That God hath raised him from the dead,
Thou shalt be saved,
Thou shalt be saved.

2 The death of Christ upon the tree
Was for the judgment due to thee;
He died that thou mightst ransomed be
And live by faith in Him. [Refrain]

3 By raising Jesus from the dead
Our blessed God has surely said,
That He accepts the blood He shed
As cleansing us from sin. [Refrain]

4 And now to God as sons brought nigh
We come and “Abba Father” cry,
And seek the Spirit’s full supply
That we as sons may live. [Refrain]
