117. The Shepherd’s Care

1 We are the lambs, the Shepherd’s lambs,
The Shepherd’s voice we hear,
And when we follow in His steps,
No danger shall we fear.

Refrain:
Oh Jesus is the Shepherd,
The little lambs are we,
And o’er us ev’ry day and hour
he watches tenderly.

2 He leads us o’er the mountain high
And thro’ the valleys low,
We gladly follow where He leads,
No other voice we know. [Refrain]

3 He loves to hear the little lambs
Sing of His tender care,
He loves to have our little hearts
Lift up to Him in prayer. [Refrain]

4 “Let little ones come unto me,”
This Shepherd once did say,
And still He bids us come to Him
This very, very day. [Refrain]
