5148. O Love of Christ

1. O love of Christ that faileth not,
Thou anchor for the drifting soul,
Be all but this by us forgot,
When sick with sin Thou made us whole.
O love so boundless, deep, and so divine,
What joy to know that Thou art mine;
O wondrous love of Christ that faileth not,
Be all but this by us forgot.

2. O love that saves us from our sin,
And washes every stain away;
That makes us clean without, within,
What shall we offer Thee today?
Naught have we, blessèd Lord, so poor are we,
But love and gratitude to Thee;
O love that saves and keeps us from our sin,
That makes us clean without, within.

3. O love unfailing and so free,
O Christ, Redeemer, Lord and friend,
Teach us to trust all things to Thee,
Thou wilt go with us to the end.
In every joy or sorrow, gain or loss,
Keep Thou our eyes upon the cross.
O love of Christ, unfailing, and so free,
Teach us to trust all things to Thee.
