12546. Jesus, Smile Upon Us

1 Blessed Jesus, smile upon us now,
Gathered here to praise Thy name;
Hear us as before Thy throne we bow,
Keep Thy lambs from sin and shame.

Jesus, Savior, come with us abide,
Fill our hearts with love divine;
Keep us closely by Thy precious side,
Let us evermore be Thine.

2 In this world so dark with clouds of sin
May we shine with heav’nly light;
Precious souls from danger help us win,
To be Thine in glory bright. [Refrain]

3 May we ever kind and gentle be,
Pure in heart and filled with love;
So that those around us all may see
We are like our Lord above. [Refrain]

4 When in kingly robes Thou shalt appear
Coming down the flaming sky,
May we dwell with Thee, O Savior dear,
In blessed by and by. [Refrain]
