51. In the Woods

1 In the woods the young boy knelt;
He went alone to pray.
He asked God which church was right,
Which one taught Jesus' way.

2 In the woods the oung boy saw
God and the Christ appear,
"this in my beloved Son,
Hear him"—the words were clear.

3 In the woods the young boy vowed
That he would serve the Lord.
God used him and now we have
The church of Christ restored.

4 In the wood the young boy prayed.
Like him in faith we pray,
"We would serve thee all our lives,
O Lead us, Lord, each day."
