9. Only a Touch!

1 Only a touch of the tremulous hand,
As the curious throng drew nigh;
Only a touch! but how wondrous and grand!
The Master was passing by

Refrain:
Only a touch! only a touch!
Touch Him and you'll know why;
Only a touch of His garment's hem,
O touch Him! ere He pass by.

2 Only a touch! but the answer came swift,
And tho' all of her living was spent,
Only a touch! what a glorious gift,
The healing to her was sent. [Refrain]

3 Only a touch of the tremulous soul,
As she pressed in the surging throng;
Only a touch! yet it made her whole,
And virtue had made her strong [Refrain]

4 Only a touch of His garment's hem,
With a hope in His healing grace;
Only a touch! with a faith in Him,
He turned and beheld her face. [Refrain]
